Water Proofing Works at Level 03 Souk, WTC Project –Abu Dhabi, UAE
Waterproofing (Planters & Pedestrian Roofs)
The main floor forming the works are the Level 03 main circulation areas and the planters.
• In addition to the above, repairing of the leaking areas around The GRC Domes and Roof skylights areas
• Identify and isolate the MEP services inside the planters such as the irrigation lines, and to carefully dismantle the planter`s drains during excavation time.
• The existing drain gutter lines must be removed carefully and reinstated,
• Careful removal of the tiles around the drain point in accordance with the WP specialist requirements and to reinstate the cement tile again.
• Dismantle the existing timber flooring carefully, store it properly and to reinstate it as it was fixed originally
• Replacement of damaged material
Rawaq Restaurant Area
• Demolition of the pedestrian roofs down to the structural slab level and floor to be built up again with a new waterproofing system proposed and guaranteed by the waterproofing specialist which align with the existing built up detail used in souk.
• The successful tenderer must consider the joint areas between the existing plant rooms and the demolished pedestrian roofs in terms of the waterproofing termination, the two areas WP system must be separated.
• Demolition and disposal of the remaining Rawaq Restaurant tenancy
